Got a written quote for service, service rep came and fixed one light then said they couldn't fix the second one and left. They took all the parts out of the second fixture including the lens and never came back. Then weeks later sent a bill for fixing both lights and claimed we owed for fixing them both and refused to return the lens and parts they took from the second light fixture they never fixed. Then when caught in their lie about finishing the job they said they would have to charge us more to come back out to finish the job....

I had a problem with a driver from McBride Owen near their main office. I cooled off for a day and went to the main office. I honestly believe their HR person is going to deal with the problem. Everyone has a right to make a turn into their own property or anywhere for that matter without getting rear ended. People out in this County lose their mind when someone makes a stop to turn into a property. I believe they made an effort to remove another bad driver and will deal with this guy properly. Hats off to the PR lady that can deal with 50 team members and the public on a daily basis.

I was hugely disappointed with the responsiveness of one of the owners of McBride Owens. The electricians showed up and did good quality work but they failed to bring all the outdoor light fixtures they were scheduled to install. I had to schedule another time for them to return to finish the job which meant another day off from work. The program manager I worked with to schedule these two appointments was very professional, responsive, and easy to work with. I was stunned when no one showed up at the second scheduled time to finish their work. I called to ask why no one had come and was transferred to one of the owners. He said the program manager who scheduled my second visit was out sick and there was no central schedule of appointments so no one other than the program manager knew about my scheduled appointment today. I thought the owner did a great job of throwing this program manager under the bus when he was out sick. I find it hard to believe that a company the size of McBride Owen doesn't have a centralized schedule. The owner took no responsibility whatsoever and did not offer to compensate me in any way even though I told him I had taken the day off and had scheduled this a month in advance so I could be here as they also had to finish installing some interior lights. I also shared with the owner that I had a dinner party scheduled for the upcoming weekend and now my lighting fixtures would not be installed for this gathering. The program manager and the electricians were professional and accommodating; sadly, the owner was not. I would have been happy to reschedule the electricians to come back because they did quality work and because the program manager worked with me very well to accommodate my work schedule. Because the owner did not offer any compensation for their mistake, I decided against having them come back. McBride Owens would have had a regular customer if the owner had been more responsive and customer focused.

We reached out to McBride Owens because we had a leak in our well pump. Their plumbing supervisor, Bryan, contacted us from the field and arrived at our house within 30 minutes of the phone call. He knew exactly how to address the problem and quickly completed the repair for a fair price. We would definitely use their services again.

Thanks to Scott McBride for helping us troubleshoot our electrical problem by phone one evening about 2 months ago. He said he was on a job in Charlotte yet took the time to listen to the details of our trouble (half the house kind of had power and half the house didn’t have any). His advice solved the issue with a simple trip to Lowe’s for replacement fuses of the two big fuses that let the power into the house. Thanks again for helping us get through this with no costs other than the fuses. We appreciate your time and helpfulness. Blessings, Jim and Patricia T.

I am very happy with my experience with this company. I call, they called back. They set an appointment with me and showed up on time. They gave me a quote for the work I wanted done and set an appointment to do the work. Again, they came on time, did the work and charged what they said. I also thought the work was reasonably priced but did not compare. Very nice and friendly! Kept the work area clean. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing electrical work.

I was told that they do new residential construction by a staff member but when I called to get a quote for our new home they said they only would do it if you are a contractor, not the home owner. Why would it make a difference, the home owner pays for the work...this seems like a way to mark up cost. This left me with a bad taste which is unfortunate. They could have just said they were too busy but only said no after asking which company I was with and then said they don't accept jobs for homeowners, only contractors because they are too busy.

They love to speed through school zones at double the speed limit! So I'd be weary of allowing them around your children and home. If they're as careless as they are where children cross the road for school then I doubt they're going to care about your families lives. Be careful, they'll probably speed through the job, mis-wire something and burn your house down..
